A man who fell down an embankment and into the Thames River on Saturday (Sept. 29) was taken to hospital in stable condition.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning a citizen walking in St. Julien Park, located at 15 Tommy Hunter Way, heard cries for help. The person then called London Police Service for assistance.

Police attended and located a white adult male, believed to be in his 40’s, standing in the river at the bottom of a steep embankment. He had a facial injury and was transported to hospital where he is currently in stable condition.

The man’s identity is unknown at this time and police are still investigating the incident.
