Fire crews received a 911 call around 1:58pm regarding a person in the river in the area of Richmond Street and Ridout Street. A full water rescue team was dispatched, information was upgraded that the person was near the shore in medical distressed, and at that point a full tech rescue high angle response was initiated.
Fire crew effectively package the patient for a high angle extrication. Excellent and coordinated teamwork between @MLPS911 @lpsmediaoffice to get the individual to hospital, condition unknown. Ridout St was closed south of Horton St for a short period.
