In 1995, the station was relocated for the third time in its history. Serving as the London Fire Department’s Headquarters, the following divisions are staffed out of this building:
- Administration
- Communications
- Training
- Fire Prevention
- Stores
- Suppression
History of Station 1
In 1995, the station was relocated for the third time in the history of the London Fire Department.
Previous locations were Waterloo St and King Street.
September 12, 2011, London Fire Chief John Kobarda along with Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty unveiled the newly renamed station and the London Fire Fighters’ Memorial Monument. This monument was a joint effort with administration and the LPFFA with much of the labour was done by London Fire Fighters. The unveiled monument honours fire fighters who died in the line of duty with the city of London since 1855.
