City of London Ontario has a new emergency operations and training centre which was officially opened on May 6th.
London’s new multi-purpose emergency operations and training centre was opened by Mayor Fontana and other provincial and federal elected officials on Friday, May 6th. Not only will this centre be used to monitor major emergencies, but it will be used for training, exercises and meetings.
A community open house was held on Saturday, May 7th to allow Londoners to see the new centre, speak with Emergency Management and partner agency representatives about the centre, their agencies’ roles and to learn about emergency preparedness.
