Students at Catholic Central High School in London have once again teamed up with London fire department for the ninth annual Winter Coat Drive. Used winter coats in good condition can be turned in at any fire station in the city or at Angelo’s Italian Bakery on Wonderland Rd. N, St. John the Devine Catholic Church on Baseline Rd. W, the London branch of the environment ministry on Exeter Rd., St. Jude School on Viscount Rd. and the A&P Store on Wellington Rd. at Commissioners. Last year more than 3,000 coats were collected; since the campaign started more than 9,000 has been collected. The coats will be donated to Ark Aid Mission, the London Intercommunity Health Centre, Women’s Community House, Mission Services, Native Women and Children’s Centre, St. Joseph’s Hospitality Centre, N’Amirand Friendship Centre, Streetscape, Life Spin and Unity House Homeless Shelter.
