London Fire Fighters Hall of Flame Calendar project
An off duty volunteer project to raise funds and awareness about the dangers and impacts burns can have on our community, organized and staffed by off duty London Fire Fighters and Burn Unit Nurses, the project started in 1988.
The original committee included London Burn Unit Nurses: Deborah Kruz; Wendy Fagan; & Kim Holtby, assisted by London Fire Fighters: Wayne Brown; Martin Nygard & Dave Warren, proved that this project was profitable and supported by the community. With calendars sold out in short order plans were in the works for another edition to be released in 1991.
Overtime the need for the burn unit lessened and proceeds benefited other local charities.
