
As the busiest engine in the city FFs John Peter, and Steve Beasley basically provided the original concept of the workhorse. After several iterations, the final version was revealed.

A City of London Fire Truck sits outside the Central Fire Station on the northeast corner of Waterloo and York streets.
Engine 1 , 1974 Ford/King 1050/500. First diesel rig and first pump with a top mount pump control. Photo was taken early 1975 just after it went into service. The deck gun still hasn't been installed.
