Traffic was snarled but no one was hurt when a London police cruiser was rear-ended on Oxford Street Tuesday morning (Jan. 14).

A grey compact sedan hit the pickup’s rear bumper around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Lane and Oxford streets, between Wharncliffe Road and the Thames River. London firefighters were dispatched for scene control but no extrication was required.

Neither the driver of the car or officer driving the cruiser were injured, but the car’s front end was heavily damaged.
