It took three hours for London firemen to halt a blaze at Central Chevrolet and Oldsmobile. Fire Chief Ray Morley estimates there is more than $1 million in damage. It has been reported the fire was started by an acetylene torch in the service area of the plant. A full investigation by fire-prevention and the Ontario fire marshal’s office is underway. There were no injuries and all but four used cars were saved.
