A 22-year-old man was treated for smoke inhalation following a blaze in east London.

Fire crews were called to a two storey home on Dundas Street between First and Hale shortly before 5:30 p.m. Monday.

The fire is believed to have started on a second floor mattress, but the cause remains under investigation.

Investigators say the structure, including a dental office on the main floor, suffered smoke and water damage.

A damage estimate has not yet been released.

No one else was injured.
