Firefighters had a hard time putting out a fire in London’s Old South neighbourhood this morning.

The London Fire Department says the fire gutted the second floor bathroom of the home on Windsor Avenue.

It took firefighters some time to locate the fire because of heavy smoke, but eventually it was brought under control.

There is smoke damage to the main floor and the bathroom is destroyed.

A nearby smoke detector burnt off the wall of the house.

No one was injured.

Damage is estimated at $100,000.
