The dog and her owner were walking in Komoka provincial park at about 4:30 PM when they fell down a steep ravine embankment and injured his ankle. The man and his dog clawed their way to the top of the ravine, where he called 911 from his cell phone.

Paramedics and firefighters carried the man to safety, and Susie was brought back to fire hall 12 in Byron until her owner was released from hospital.
