An overnight fire has caused an estimated $50,000 in damages to a London home.

At around midnight, fire crews were called to a house on Cherry Street, just north of Labatt Park.

Upon arrival, crews found flames coming from a detached garage and reaching to the second story and roof.

The fire was quickly contained but not before extensive damage was done to the west of the garage and roof. The east of the house also suffered damage through radiant heat.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
