Emergency responders were called to a reported fire at London’s provincial jail Thursday night.

More than a half dozen fire trucks, two police cruisers and two ambulances were dispatched to the Middlesex Detention Centre shortly after 9 p.m.

Paramedics didn’t transport anyone to hospital, said a duty manager for London EMS.

Officials were unavailable Thursday night to provide any information about the reported blaze at the Exeter Road jail.
