Active incident: fire crews on scene of kitchen fire in a townhouse on Commissioners Rd W cross street Boler Rd. Smoke throughout the home. Primary search underway. Neighbour called 911 reporting smoke visible and hearing a smoke alarm. More to follow.

Incident update (14:18): Primary and secondary searches are all clear. Hydro isolated and shut off. Fire is under control. Ventilation underway. Crews monitoring air quality in the fire unit and neighbouring townhomes. No reported injuries. (Source: X/@LndOntFire)


Incident update (15:14): Some crews have cleared. Fire Investigators are on scene to determine origin & cause. Initial damage estimate is $200,000.


Incident update (17:34):Fire investigators have cleared the scene at Commissioners Rd and remind Londoners to never leave appliances such as space heaters, air purifiers or fans running when you are not home. These appliances can overheat and cause a fire.
