A lightning strike has knocked out power to a south London neighbourhood.
London Hydro and firefighters are on the scene near Exeter and Bessemer roads after lightning struck a utility pole, police said.
Officials are asking people to avoid the area, where electrical wires are on the road and work crews are expected to be on the scene for several hours.
London Hydro estimates the power will be out until 4:30 p.m.
The utility’s outage map indicates the area affected is south of Bradley Avenue, east of Wellington Road, west of Pond Mills Road and north of Exeter Road.
