A death investigation has been launched after police say a man succumbed to unspecified injuries in hospital Friday after being located by officers in medical distress.

Very few details have been made public by police, who say they were called to 446 King Street around 5:10 p.m.

Reports say EMS responded to a man who suffered a fall from a fourth storey window. The man, believed to be in his 30’s, was transported to hospital where he later died.

His identity is not being released pending next of kin notification.

Police say the circumstances leading up to the man’s death are being investigated by the London Police Major Crime Section.

EMS also attended to second patient in a fourth story apartment unit.

A post mortem will be conducted to determine a cause of death, police said.

The King Street address is the location of Victory House, a five-storey, 30-unit affordable housing complex developed by LIFT Non-Profit Housing of London Inc. that opened in 2009.
