A home in North Lambeth was destroyed following a fire early Tuesday morning.
Fire crews were called to 3557 Colonel Talbot Road around 3 a.m. for a house engulfed in flames.
Nieghbour Ian Campbell recalled being awoken by his dog and seeing an orange glow out his window.
The house has been destroyed but the homeowners were not home as they had been in Quebec for two days. Fire officials have made contact with them and they are on their way back to London.
According to neighbours the owners purchased the house about three or four months ago.
As a result Colonel Talbot was closed by police from Pack Road to Diane Crescent.
An early damage estimate is set at $750,000. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office has been called in.
