Elgin County OPP say approximately 85 cows were killed in an early morning barn fire in Elgin County.
Southwold firefighters were called to a farm on Sunset Dr., south of Southminster Bourne shortly before 8 a.m. Monday to reports of a barn fire.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Upon arrival, smoke could be seen billowing from the structure, causing visibility issues in the area.
Sunset Dr. is closed between Southminter Bourne and Clinton Line. There is no word on when police expect to re-open the road.
