Officials say a fire that broke out at the Motor Court Motel on Dundas Street East is not suspicious.

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Upon arrival, smoke could be seen billowing from the building, but crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

It’s still not clear what caused the fire, but it started in a unit on the main floor.

London Police confirm three people were taken to hospital — two for treatment of smoke inhalation, while the third victim suffered burns to his legs.

Damage is estimated at up to $70,000.
