An early morning garage fire at a home in London’s far east end has caused $125,000 in damage.
London firefighters responded to the scene on Dundas St., just east of Crumlin Side Road, at approximately 12:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Upon arrival, a garage adjacent to the home was fully engulfed in flames. It eventually collapsed, destroying the garage itself, along with three vehicles and a motorcycle inside.
“It was a large garage on fire.” District Chief Dean Baker told AM980.
“There was no one hurt. The people inside were safely evacuated.”
It’s still unclear how the fire started, although the investigation is still in its very early stages.
