A morning house fire on the north side of the city left a family unharmed, but temporarily homeless.

London firefighters were called to 565 Kinnivie after smoke alarms sounded to find thick smoke coming from the front door. Although they knocked it down quickly and ensured no other homes were damaged, flames and smoke caused $275,000 damage to the structure.

The occupants managed to get themselves out safely.

No cause for the blaze has yet been reported.
