Due to a cancellation of a Ministry of Environment Smog Alert Advisory for this region, the London Fire Department has lifted a ban on all Open Air Burns contained under the Open Air Burning By-Law within the City of London boundaries yesterday (July 3).

Open air burning include the use of outdoor fire pits and recreational burning under certain conditions.

Outdoor cooking may be conducted between 11 a.m. and midnight, provided the fire is no larger than 46 centimetres in length, 46 centimetres in width and 30 centimetres in height.

This policy does not include barbecues, which may be used at any time.
