With the potential for severe summer weather rising with the temperature, we are kicking off Emergency Preparedness Week.
At a news conference this morning at the Byron fire hall, Dave O’Brien with emergency services with the city of London told us one of the basic lessons is put a safety kick together, “It could take us up to 72 hours to get to you, and that kit is what you would have in your home to help you sustain yourself and your family for up to 72 hours…things like something to keep you warm, some food, some water, don’t forget about your pets, critical medications.”
‘Be Prepared’ is this year’s theme for Emergency Preparedness Week, May 6-12.
