Fire investigators are trying to determine how a car caught fire in a locked garage Wednesday afternoon.
Karl Moussa, 18, his mother and brother were in their townhouse above the garage at Unit 208, 700 Osgoode Dr. when “there was an explosion. I wend downstairs,” Moussa said, “and the garage was full of smoke and fire.”
“There was no one in the garage. It was locked.”
District Fire Chief George Layland said inspectors are trying to determine whether the fire started in the garage and is spread to the car or if started in the car. The damage, estimated at $15,000, was confined to the garage and car, he said.
