“Blaze deliberately set” – damages hut
June 17, 1948
Fire is shown destroying the last section of the remaining H-Type army hut at Queen’s Park. A previous section was destroyed by fire 6 months before. This fire was deliberately set, posssibly by children. Flames were seen to reach 30 ft into the air and attracted a large crowd of spectators.
