Carling Brewery – before & after a massive fire
Before – c 1874-1876
After – c 1879
Carling Brewery was established in London in 1843. Originally located at Waterloo St & Pall Mall St, later moved to the location shown in the photos – west of Talbot St, between Anne St & Piccadilly Street. It was rebuilt after the massive fire in 1879 & was eventually demolished in 1941.

This was the first fire to use London’s hydrant system.
