London Police say the cause of Tuesday’s fire in a home east of downtown is still unknown, but they do know the name of the lone deceased in the blaze.
85-year-old Elizabeth Sloan was identified by police late Thursday afternoon.
When fire crews were called to 80 Sterling Street at around 12:30pm on Tuesday, they found the woman unconscious.
She was transported to hospital by EMS where she later died.
The Ontario Fire Marshall is continuing to investigate the cause of the blaze, although it is not considered suspicious.
Investigators say there were no working smoking alarms in the home at the time of the fire.
Damage from the blaze is estimated at $110,000.
Two cats also died in the fire.
