Suspected Fire Bug Torches Fourth Playground in Westmount Area

Officers are ramping up patrols in the Westmount area and investigators are searching for patterns following a fourth suspicious playground fire.

Fire crews were called to St. Jude Elementary School on Viscount Road at 4:54 a.m. Thursday to reports of a fire.

A fire has caused extensive damage to a home in London’s northeast end.
City police say it was around 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday when emergency crews were dispatched to a residence on Fuller St. at McNay St. Officials say fire crews were able to douse the flames and no one was hurt.

London Police are not ruling out the possibility that three recent fires, involving playground equipment in the Westmount-area, may be linked.
