Clarke Road between Oxford Street and Dundas Street is finally re-opened after being closed for several hours after what onlookers are calling a horrible accident between a crane and a van.

The accident happened this morning when the van was turning North onto Clarke from Parkhurst Ave when it entered the Southbound lane. The van was then struck by a crane heading South.

Reports on Twitter say the wrecking ball on the crane ripped through the hood of the van caving in the roof.

Both driver and passenger were sent to hospital. The extent of their injuries aren’t known at this time.
