London police say they are investigating what they’re calling a suspicious fire. Police say a 911 call was placed this morning at 2:23 am from a citizen about a fire in a business parking lot at Wonderland Road North and Sarnia Road.

Upon arrival fire crews found two vehicles fully engulfed in flames. One vehicle was a school bus parked in the lot, and the other a transport truck that was parked near the bus.

Police believe the fire was intentionally set. Damage is estimated to be around $250,000.00.

At approximately 4:45am, another 911 call was received about a fire at St. Thomas More Public School, which is a short distance from the initial suspicious fire. A construction trailer located on the property was engulfed in flames on arrival of London Police and London Fire. Damage to this trailer is estimated to be approximately $25,000.00.

The investigation into both of these fires is continuing.

Anyone with information relating to these suspicious fires is asked to call London Police or Crimestoppers.
