It’s National Emergency Preparedness Week, and tomorrow local residents will be able to view London’s emergency operation centre at an open house.

Manager of Emergency Management with the city David Colvin says the open house is also a time for Londoners to talk with the people behind the sirens.

“We’ll have the fire trucks stationed right at the hall, Middlesex London’s EMS, and also if all goes well the London Police will be there with the community command vehicle and also their brand new bomb truck”.

Colvin says community partners like the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and St. John Ambulance will be there.

The open house begins at 10 am and runs until 4pm at the Byron Fire Hall.
