One Injured in SoHo Apartment Fire Tuesday Night

One person suffered minor injuries following an apartment fire in the SoHo area Tuesday night.

London Fire crews were called to a unit at 456 Horton Street at around 9:56 p.m.

 

Upon arrival, flames and heavy smoke could be seen coming from the back of the building. Firefighters were able to make entry into the apartment and quickly douse the blaze.

Officals say one male patient suffered smoke inhalation and minor burns to his hands and face. He was treated and transported to hospital by paramedics.

Damage is estimated at around $40,000.

A Fire Prevention Officer has been called in to investigate the cause of the fire.
