Off-duty members of the London Fire Department watch as Jason Fiqueiredo floats concrete in preparation for the installation of the London Firefighters’ Memorial Monument, which will be erected in front of the fire station at 400 Horton St.

The monument will be officially dedicated on Sunday (Sept. 11) during a special ceremony at 1 p.m. At the same time, the Horton Street facility will also be re-dedicated as the London Fire Department Memorial Headquarters. The monument was made possible through funds from the London Professional Fire Fighters Association, the City of London and fundraising efforts.
