London firefighters top fundraisers
The London Fire Department and London Professional Fire Fighters Association are the top fundraising department in Ontario and Canada for 2011-2012 after raising more than $60,000 in cash over the year.
The money was raised through a number of events throughout the year including the first-ever Rooftop Campout, two Boot Drives, a Wheelchair Dare, Buck for Luck and a second Rooftop Campout to wrap up the year.
The association and department also won Danielle Campo Extra Mile awards for their dedication to raising money for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
