London firefighter, Allison Vickered, is being praised for her part in saving a man’s life during a 10k run last summer.

“It is an honour for the Canadian Red Cross to recognize Allison for demonstrating the power of humanity by acting decisively in applying the skills and training she has gained through her Red Cross training, said Kelly Farrell, Canadian Red Cross. “Our hope is that Allison’s actions inspire others to acquire these same skills and employ them with confidence whenever the need arises.”
