October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast Cancer can affect anyone including the lives and families of London Fire Fighters. To support for a fellow Fire Fighter who’s mother was under going treatment of breast cancer, many London Fire Fighters and staff are wearing pink during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is the third year that Fire Fighters and staff have worn pink while at work and the support has increased each year. It is the hope that this simple but important gesture encourages others to consider their own health and to consider those on their journey to recovery.
