A blaze at the Motor Court Motel in east London is under investigation.

Firefighters were called to the scene at around 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Upon arrival, smoke could be seen billowing from the building, but crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

London Police confirm three people were taken to hospital — two for treatment of smoke inhalation, while the third victim suffered burns to his feet.

It’s still not clear what started the fire, or whether it’s being treated as suspicious.

Dundas Street was closed between Edgeworth Ave and Clarke Road for about an hour, but has since reopened.
