Hundreds of people gathered at the East Lions Park Sunday (July 1) to take part in some Canada Day fun.

Hosted by the East London Optimists, the fun-filled day offered everything from bouncy rides, face painting and crafts, to a classic car show and fire department demonstration. The event runs until 7 p.m. and there will be a fireworks display at the park at 10 p.m. on Sunday.
