The London Fire Department is saying an early morning fire ripped through a house on Cayuga Cres in the area of Huron St and Clarke Rd. Fire officials are saying shortly before 12:30 this morning, smoke and flames were coming through the roof of the home when response units arrived at the scene.

Firefighters are saying when they arrived flames were coming from within the structure of the home but were able to get the blaze under control. None of the adjacent homes were affected by the blaze.

The fire is estimated to have caused around $150,000 in damages.
