Early morning apartment fire on Commissioners Road
It was a rude awakening for residents of 940 Commissioners Rd East as alarm bells rang out in the early hours of Monday morning (July 1).
Shortly after 1 a.m., London firefighters responded to the address after a number of callers reporting smoke coming from a second floor balcony.
Entering the apartment from the balcony, firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and ventilated smoke from the adjacent hallways.
No one was in the apartment at the time and there were no reports of any injuries as a result if the incident.
The cause of fire is still under investigation and no estimate of damage has been released.
