The tragic the loss of the 1958 Old MacDonald’s Barn at Storybook Gardens for many will never be forgotten.   The barn was a popular landmark at the park allowing rural life to experienced in the City.  All animals living in the barn were saved by Storybook groundskeeper Tom Hudeckie and quick responding firefighters. 

Cause of the fire was undetermined and not considered suspicious.
