This year on November 4th, the nation will change its clock for the end of Daylight Savings time. Once again, Energizer and the International Association of Fire Chiefs remind you to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors when you change your clock.

For 25 years, the Change Your Clock Change Your Battery® program has been dedicated to sharing this life-saving reminder. This year to celebrate the silver anniversary of one of the nation’s top home fire safety programs, Energizer will adopt 25 fire departments in 25 cities across the nation and equip them with Energizer® family safety products for their department and to share in their communities. As in year’s past, Energizer is also donating 250,000 batteries to fire departments across the country to distribute to local families in their areas.

To get involved in this program, please visit to join the Energizer Bunny® Brigade, receive important fire safety tips and learn more about this important program.  Starting on October 11th, the Energizer Bunny® Facebook page will also be hosting a Family Safety Kit giveaway where lucky fans can register to receive a kit equipped with Energizer® MAX® AA Batteries, Energizer® Advanced Lithium AA Batteries, combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector, Energizer® Rubber LED Flashlight and Energizer® Flameless Wax Candles.

Developing a family emergency escape plan can be crucial to everyone’s safety. The more prepared a family is, the more quickly and calmly they will react in case of an emergency.

Sometimes saving a life can be that simple – Change Your Clock Change Your Battery®.
