Fire damage estimated at $120K

An early-morning blaze ripped through a Wellington Rd. eatery in London Wednesday, causing about $120,000 damage. Firefighters were called to Curry’s Indian restaurant on Wellington near Grand Ave. shortly after 6 a.m. A police cruiser and a forensic identification van were parked outside the restaurant Wednesday.

Arson Suspected in Car Fire

Just before 7 last night London firefighters were called to a car fire on Weston Street.

They say a vehicle, that appeared to be abandoned inside a building, was completely destroyed.

There was no damage to the building.

It is suspected arson is the cause.

No one was injured and the damage estimate is 100 dollars.
